Sandy Chase has been a US Government communications officer, editor, technical writer, and writing instructor. Sandy directed the writing training program at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). She also produced human-resource publications, founded and edited an inhouse training magazine and office newsletter, and created a career-development website. As an adjunct instructor for the University of Virginia, Sandy taught grammar and punctuation and a human-resource communications course.
She also developed and taught English-As-a-Second-Language (ESL) programs for the CIA and the Fairfax County, Virginia, school system. Sandy reviews manuscripts for a major business publisher and is herself a published author of personal essays, poems, and professional articles on writing. Most recently, her feature interviews have been published in local magazines.
Gary Chase has over 30 years of professional communication experience. As an attorney, congressional staff member, and senior government official, he drafted and edited legislation, speeches, testimony, complex interagency agreements, and other products. Gary served as Chief Counsel to the Senate Intelligence Committee, Deputy Director of CIA Congressional Affairs, and Deputy Inspector General. He holds the Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal. He was an adjunct professor at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and now teaches at the University of South Florida.
